Our doctors
The optometrists at The EyeSite pride themselves on providing very thorough eye exams, and place an emphasis on education so you feel certain that all of your questions and concerns are addressed at each visit.

Dr. Sameera Jhamb completed her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She grew up in Burnaby, BC and went to Simon Fraser University for her undergraduate degree in Science, and she is fluent in English, Hindi, and French.

Dr. Brar grew up in the Lower Mainland, and obtained her undergraduate degree from UBC. She then moved to Chicago to study at the Illinois College of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate in Optometry, graduating Cum Laude.
Our doctors are optometrists, not medical doctors.
Eyewear
We have an extensive selection of eyewear including the latest styles in designer sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses. Here are just some of the lines we offer.

All of our lenses come fully coated with anti-glare and anti-scratch coating, and we provide the option of blue blocking, Transitions, and polarized sunglass lenses. Whether you’re buying a new frame, or using your existing frame, we have an in-house lab where we do all of our edging on site.
Single vision glasses can take as little as 24 hours once you pick your frames, while progressive or bifocals may take up to 1–2 weeks as they are custom.
Our selection changes frequently as we are constantly updating our inventory. We are also able to order in specific models from many brands that we may not have in store.
Insurance & MSP
We do accept other plans as well, so if you do not see your plan listed here, please give us a call and we would be happy to assist you. Our staff is also always available to answer any questions regarding your benefits.
We are fully set up to directly bill under IFHP and FNHA for your eye exams and glasses.

From our blog
“Lazy eye,” or amblyopia, is one of the most common causes of vision problems in children, yet it’s often missed by parents simply because it doesn’t always look the way people expect.
Dry eye disease is one of the most common reasons patients book an eye exam , yet it’s often misunderstood as a minor annoyance rather than the chronic, treatable condition it actually is.
For many patients, an eye exam brings a bit of anxiety — unfamiliar machines, bright lights, and not knowing what each test is actually checking for.
